The Africa Regional Summit of Employers’ Organisations seeks to:

  1. Discuss strategies to empower businesses to thrive and contribute to sustainable development in Africa.
  2. Articulate employers’ priorities for the 2026 ILO Africa Regional Meeting: Provide a platform for Employers’ and Business Membership Organisations (EBMOs) to identify and agree upon key priorities and strategies to ensure effective employer participation in the 2026 ILO Africa Regional Meeting.
  3. Reinvigorate Business Africa: Explore ways to strengthen Business Africa’s role as a unifying regional body, adopt a clear strategic vision for the short and long term, and establish actionable priorities and work plans to enhance its effectiveness.
  4. Engage with the ILO Social Justice Agenda: Discuss the ILO’s Social Justice Agenda, including the Global Coalition for Social Justice, and define the specific roles African EBMOs should play in advancing social justice and economic development across the continent.
