The FKE Female Future Leadership Program Cohorts 21 & 22 convened at the Fairview Hotel for their Board Competence Module 1 sessions held from June 6th to 7th and June 13th to 14th. During the sessions, the participants explored a range of topics aimed at deepening their understanding of governance and leadership at the board level. This module seeks to prepare board-ready women directors who can competently serve in any type of organisation.
The module presented the participants with core concepts and principles in governance, types and qualities of effective directors, reviewed board dynamics, and distinct roles of various parties in the board. The module was delivered by practical reviews of real case studies locally, regionally, and globally, and practical tips were shared.
FKE has so far trained over 500 board-ready women and can be contacted for recommendations of women to sit on various boards.
