19th January 2025, the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), through her Girls & Tech program, conducted a sensitization session on STEM careers at St. Bakhita Bahati Girls High School in Nakuru.
The event featured two inspiring mentors:
- Scholastica Odere, a renowned cybersecurity expert and Vice President of Cyber Defence Services at Citi Kenya.
- Brendah Rombo, a skilled mechanical engineer and Manager at Libre Engineering Services Ltd.
The session went a long way in encouraging students to embrace STEM subjects and pursue STEM careers with confidence, especially in light of future work trends that emphasize technology and innovation.
Over 900 girls were inspired and empowered to boldly consider STEM as a viable and rewarding career path. This initiative aligns with the growing need for more women in STEM to shape the future of work and drive technological advancements.
