FKE is thrilled to announce that our Female Future Leadership Program has been recognized and awarded 1st Runners Up in the category of Best Women Professional Empowerment Initiative at the 6th edition of the DIAR Awards 2024!
The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) has made significant strides in championing gender equality and women's leadership through its Female Future Leadership Development Program. This initiative is designed to bolster the representation of women in management and executive roles across both the public and private sectors, thereby promoting gender equality in the workplace. A collaborative effort with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), the program is targeted at ambitious women in mid-to-top-level management positions who aspire to reach the apex of political and corporate leadership.
The curriculum of the program is comprehensive, covering leadership development, rhetoric, and board competence over nine months. It employs a blend of lectures, case studies, role-playing, and assignments, delivered by world-class facilitators. The program is held in top-class hotels in Nairobi or Mombasa, providing a conducive learning environment for the participants. The Female Future Leadership Development Program has been a game-changer for many women, with over 250 beneficiaries to date. It has not only equipped them with crucial leadership skills but also significantly contributed to their career advancement.
This noteworthy impact of the Female Future Leadership Development Program was recognized and celebrated at the 6th edition of the DIAR Awards in 2024 where Ms. Catherine Mukoko, Coordinator of, Female Future Leadership Program accompanied by Ms. Grace Kaome, Manager of Human Resources, and Ms. Sandra Thuita, Officer, PR, and Communications, received the award on behalf of the Federation. The DIAR Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony, held at the Sarit Expo Center in Nairobi on March 22, 2024, is an event that acknowledges and awards excellence in various categories, spotlighting initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion. The recognition of the Female Future Leadership Development Program at such a prestigious event underscores the importance of gender equality in leadership and the significant contributions of the program towards achieving this go
This incredible achievement could not have been possible without the visionary leadership of our Executive Director and CEO, Ms. Jacqueline Mugo and the support of the FFLP Coordinator Ms. Catherine Mukoko, MLPI . Together, they have steered this initiative towards empowering women professionals, making significant strides in fostering an environment where women can thrive and lead.
Let's keep the momentum going as we work towards even greater achievements. Together, we are unstoppable! 💪
