The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) and the Dispute and Conflict Resolution Institute (DCRI) came together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This historic collaboration, spearheaded by Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, EBS, Executive Director & CEO of FKE, and Justice Lee Muthoga, Board Chair of DCRI, marks a significant step towards more effective dispute resolution mechanisms in Kenya.

 

Ms. Mugo expressed her genuine enthusiasm for this partnership, underlining the potential it holds for streamlined and fair conflict resolution processes. With the signing of this MOU, FKE proudly announced its official provision of mediation services to its esteemed members, recognizing mediation as the way forward in resolving disputes within enterprises. This move signifies FKE's commitment to ensuring the well-being of its members and fostering harmonious working environments.

 

On his part, Justice Muthoga emphasized the importance of promoting mediation as a primary method for resolving disputes in various contexts, including the corporate sector. The collaboration between FKE and DCRI represents a fusion of expertise and resources dedicated to enhancing dispute resolution mechanisms in Kenya. By leveraging the strengths of both organizations, this partnership aims to provide accessible, efficient, and equitable mediation services to businesses across the country.

 

As part of its commitment to promoting mediation, FKE will be hosting an inaugural webinar on Mediation scheduled for the 28th of May 2024.
