About The Event

Have you heard of the Data Protection Act that came into effect on 14th July 2022?

Well, this and other changes in laws governing employment will be our key subject areas during the Physical Class in Nakuru on 04th – 05th August 2022.

In a nutshell, the employment and industrial relations landscape continues to evolve at a fast pace. Since 2007 when the Kenyan Labour Laws were enacted,  there have been quite a number of legal amendments which in turn have influenced or affected HR practices. New laws like the Data Protection Act will also have an impact on how data will be managed by employers. The Courts too are making landmark rulings which set precedents. In view of the foregoing, the Federation has responded by developing an appropriate course to address these issues.

You are therefore invited to this training on Navigating Emerging Issues in Labour Laws & Labour Relations in Kenya. The approach to this workshop is very practical and interactive, with lots of discussions, case studies, role plays, simulations and unpacking of court precedents. We shall also provide ready take-aways toolkits for immediate application at your workplaces.
