In response to the growing emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) has been taking proactive steps since 2022 in guiding enterprises through these critical standards. Partnering with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and other international partners, FKE held a workshop on ESG practices in Naivasha from August 29th to 30th, 2024.
This workshop provided an opportunity for the participants to understand and implement the ESG standards, ensuring their business operations are not only sustainable but also contribute positively to society and the environment.
Led by the FKE consultants, Mr. Jorge Ramirez Senior Programme Specialist at ITCILO, Turin in ITALY, Ms. Annpatliz Mwihaki, Sustainability Officer at Samawati Capital Ventures and Mr. Eric Munyobi, the FKE Consulting and Training Manager, the workshop focused on:
- Assessing ESG-related risks and opportunities
- Managing relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and communities
- Identifying industry-specific ESG metrics
