On February 29th to March 1st, 2024, a dynamic gathering of 47 delegates convened at the Gem Hotel in Naivasha for a comprehensive training session on Collective Bargaining. Hosted by the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), this intensive two-day workshop aimed to equip participants with essential skills and insights to navigate the complexities of CBAs effectively. The discussions were headed experts including by Mr. Dickens Ouma, Ag. Head of Legal and Industrial Relations, FKE and Mr. Nick Kibet, an external consultant.
Collective Bargaining holds paramount importance in the realm of industrial relations, serving as a cornerstone for harmonious employer-employee relationships. Recognizing this, the training commenced with a detailed exploration of the process of Collective Bargaining, delving into its intricacies and key principles. Delegates were immersed in discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, offering them a holistic understanding of the negotiation process.
